The short version: no accounts, no forms, no cookies set by this site. It counts page views and outbound product clicks anonymously so it can tell which guides are useful. Amazon, where the product links go, has its own cookies and its own privacy notice.
When a page loads, a small script sends one anonymous event to this site's own server. Each event holds only:
utm_source label if you arrived through a tagged link (for example, a Pinterest pin), or the Amazon product ID of a product link you clicked;/brita-vs-generic);Events are deleted automatically after 180 days. The site's own code does not store your IP address, browser details or anything that identifies you, and it does not set cookies or use local storage.
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Product links on this site go to Amazon.com. The Restock List is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. A qualifying purchase costs you nothing extra, and every page with product links says so next to the links.
Third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on your browser. That happens on their sites and under their policies. If you follow a link to Amazon, the Amazon.com Privacy Notice applies.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If what the site records changes, this page changes first. Effective September 11, 2026.
